Disability Equality Indicators

The Disability Equality Indicators measure progress towards disability equality

The Disability Equality Indicators are a starting point in measuring progress towards disability equality.

As part of our ongoing effort to improve the indicators selected to measure progress, we have expanded the indicators data to include additional indicators (poverty, crime, and independent living etc.) as well as expanding existing ones (mainly around employment and educational qualifications).

A number of the indicators presented are used to help monitor progress on the Independent Living Strategy (ILS) We recognise the critical importance of tracking progress on the ILS and work is actively ongoing to expand and improve the ILS indicators.

Find the latest indicators on the Disability Equality Indicators page of our Roadmap section.
