
The Office for Disability Issues set up an expert panel to support the work of the cross-government Independent Living Review.
Expert panel members included a range of experts on independent living, including disabled people and people from organisations of disabled people, user-led groups and service delivery organisations.
Key government departments on the ODI Board of Management were represented on the expert panel. The panel was chaired by Baroness Jane Campbell.
The Independent Living Review project team provided the secretariat to the panel and ensured that its views were reflected. The team worked with the panel chair to agree terms of reference and a proposed work programme.
The terms of reference for the expert panel were to give expert advice to the review of independent living for disabled people, which would:The dates of the meetings and the minutes of meetings which have been held are listed in the table below.
