
RADAR has launched a new guide to getting and keeping a job while managing impairment. The guide, sponsored by the Office for Disability Issues, has been developed based on the in work experience of people with a wide range of impairments and backgrounds.
RADAR will now be piloting publication of the guide in four areas of the country with Jobcentre Plus, A4e, Shaw Trust and in Health Centres and GP surgeries.
This is an initiative launched by then Prime Minister Tony Blair in 2002. It's aim is to improve the involvement and representation of disabled people and improve the accessibility of government communications.
